In 2013, I embarked on my first cycle tour from West Sussex to Barcelona with my friend Jon.

Neither of us had done anything quite like this before but spurred on by the challenge we got ourselves in shape and set off on our bikes one September afternoon to catch the ferry to the continent. The tour was 841 miles and took us 15 days. We loved every minute of this unforgettable experience.

When I returned home I was buzzing with excitement to see where we had been and show my friends our adventure. I really wanted to see our whole trip displayed on one map. That got me thinking and a few years on tracemaps was born.
